The Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS), which is the largest society of psychiatrists and mental health professionals in India, aims to improve the knowledge and skills of psychiatrists on management of OUD through a dedicated online training course. Towards this, it has partnered with the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), AIIMS, New Delhi, to develop and deliver such a training course. NDDTC, AIIMS is the premier centre involved in the treatment, training, and in research activities related to Substance Use Disorder. It has a robust post-graduate and DM programme in Addiction Psychiatry. Additionally, it is involved in training of different cadre of staff involved in providing treatment and care of SUD. NDDTC is considered as a pioneering institution with regards to management of OUD.
